The role offers direct client interaction, exposure to high-exposure matters, and opportunities to work with domestic and international insurers on complex litigation. Requirements include a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, New York bar admission, 3–6 years of substantive litigation experience, and strong writing and research skills.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record.
• Active New York Bar admission in good standing.
• 3–6 years of substantive litigation experience.
• Experience defending premises/general liability and related matters.
• Strong writing, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to handle depositions and manage a fast-paced workload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload of 25–30 matters.
• Take and defend depositions, participate in hearings and mediations.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings and briefs.
• Prepare detailed correspondence and reporting to clients and carriers.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw and Lexis.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
• Review and organize documents for production.
• Investigate claims, develop case strategy, assess liability and exposure.
• Assist in trial and mediation preparation and participate as needed.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and cross-functional teams.
