Scion Legal in Southfield, MI, seeks multiple Litigation Associate Attorneys to handle sophisticated civil liability, commercial, and insurance defense matters. Join a collaborative team with mentorship and growth opportunities, while serving established corporate clients.

Ideal candidates have JD, 3+ years of litigation experience, and strong research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills. Hybrid onsite work 2–4 days per week with an established firm culture in Michigan.

Qualificações

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active Michigan Bar admission or eligibility.
• Approximately 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Substantive experience in general civil liability defense, commercial litigation, or insurance coverage.
• Experience managing litigation matters, conducting discovery, drafting motions, and participating in depositions and court proceedings.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and work independently with a team.

Responsabilidades

• Managing a caseload of litigation matters aligned with experience and practice group.
• Developing case strategies and collaborating with partners on complex disputes.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Conducting legal research and providing practical analysis and recommendations.
• Handling written discovery, document review, depositions and other pretrial activities.
• Representing clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Communicating with clients and updating on case developments; ensuring high-quality service.
