Job summary

Twice as Nice Recruiting is assisting a client in Littleton, MA for a Hybrid Linux Systems Engineer with hardware experience. The role focuses on building Linux-based automation for server provisioning, OS deployment, validation, and production infrastructure.

The position requires 2+ years in hardware manufacturing/integration, 5+ years in Linux automation, and strong Python/Bash scripting. After an onboarding period, 2–3 days/week WFH is available; on-site is required initially.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in hardware manufacturing or hardware integration.
• 5+ years of experience building automation solutions in Linux environments.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting experience.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency in the US is required for this position due to federal government/military contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable automation solutions using Python, Bash, and related tools.
• Develop workflows for server provisioning, deployment, validation, and configuration.
• Create tools to streamline hardware configuration, testing, and production processes.
• Support BIOS, firmware, and operating system deployment automation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot Linux systems, hardware, networking, and automation-related issues.
• Partner with engineering teams to define automation standards and best practices.
• Improve consistency, reliability, and repeatability across production environments.
• Support automation initiatives across global manufacturing and system integration sites.
• Identify manual processes and build scalable automation frameworks from the ground up.
