Job summary

Global Law Firm in Chicago seeks a Legal Billing Specialist to manage the full life cycle of client invoices. You will edit prebills, ensure compliance with billing guidelines, and submit eBills through EHub for high-volume, accurate invoicing.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in legal billing, strong Excel skills, and experience with Aderant/Elite systems. This role offers a hybrid work environment in a prestigious international firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal biller.
• Experience with full life cycle invoice preparation in a law firm or professional services.
• Proficiency with Aderant or Elite/3E, Prebill Viewer, EHub, and BillBlast preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage high volumes of complex invoices under deadlines with accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage full life cycle of invoice prep from prebill editing to final submission.
• Edit prebills using Prebill Viewer and Aderant per attorney direction.
• Generate high volumes of complex client invoices accurately and on time.
• Ensure all invoices comply with client billing guidelines before submission.
• Submit eBills through EHub with all required supporting documentation.
• Monitor invoices for rejections, reductions, or appeals and address them promptly.
• Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys, clients, and administrative staff.
• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
