Job summary

King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is seeking an internal applicant for a position with duties in sentencing coordination and PAO equity participation. This role requires current KC PAO employment and completion of a six‑month probation in your current position.

Supervisor: Jill Carter. Salary ranges from $29.25 to $37.08 per hour, with a hybrid work location at the King County Courthouse, 5th floor, in-person/telecommute options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and general office principles
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under interruptions
• Meet deadlines with attention to detail and handle responsibilities
• Work independently or in a team, showing initiative
• Customer service skills in person and by phone with discretion

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all cases pending sentencing.
• Prepare and deliver sentencing packets to DPAs.
• Schedule weekly sentencing calendars with the Superior Court.
• Email sentencing calendars to the designated list.
• Provide pre-sentence reports to Court and defense counsel.
• Oversee DNA collection procedures.
• Complete post-sentencing checklists and notify Records/Corrections.
• Provide front desk coverage during breaks and absences.
• Prepare and distribute J&S paperwork to the Department of Corrections.
• Serve as point person for copy machine repairs and supplies.
