Job summary

The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences seeks a Learning Innovation Designer to lead the creation of graduate-level course content across online and blended formats. This hybrid role is based at one of USAHS campuses in San Marcos, Austin, Miami, or St.

Augustine, with a minimum of three days on campus. You will collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts, design instructional media, ensure accessibility and QA, and mentor others while aligning with our learning models,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years online course design experience in higher education.
• Master's degree required; terminal degree preferred in instructional design or teaching and learning.
• 3+ years with an LMS (Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle or Canvas).
• Fluency with eLearning content development tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Kaltura, Panopto, Camtasia).
• Knowledge of ADA accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and digital copyright; QM experience preferred.
• Experience in training, mentoring, or teaching others.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary customer service to faculty and stakeholders, supporting teaching and learning technology tools.
• Leads faculty to develop course outcomes and curriculum for all modalities; aligns with program objectives.
• Collaborates with SMEs to edit and design instructional content in appropriate voice and style.
• Manages course blueprints, scope & sequence, and media planning documents.
• Builds and maintains master courses; ensures alignment with outcomes and diverse learners.
• Plans, designs and develops instructional media; coordinates production, budget, timelines, vendor relationships; ensures accessibility and quality.
• Creates all course components in LMS and ensures QA standards.
• Oversees budget, time, resources; identifies problems and solutions to complete on time.
• Oversees quality of work by external vendors, including Contract Instructional Designers.
• Helps develop standard processes across domain team.
• Oversees special projects.
