Strategic Mission Critical seeks a Learning Content Specialist to develop practical, engaging learning materials across the firm. Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in instructional design, learning content development, multimedia learning, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Multimedia, or related field; equivalent experience.
• Experience developing learning materials from SME interviews, recordings, or process documents.
• Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
• Proficiency with common content development tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe CC, Canva, MS 365, LMS.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SMEs, practice leaders and stakeholders to assess learning needs and define objectives.
• Transform videos, meetings, presentations, and SME input into engaging educational content.
• Design and develop learning assets: eLearning modules, microlearning, job aids, slides, knowledge checks.
• Apply adult learning principles to make content clear, actionable, and memorable.
• Support video-based learning: organize footage, draft scripts, edit for clarity, coordinate SME reviews.
• Use rapid-development approaches to build content efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Manage review cycles, incorporate feedback, move projects through development stages.
• Create learning experiences with scenarios, practice opportunities, reflection prompts, checks, and follow-up resources.
