Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years WC claims handling experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Investigation, evaluation and negotiation skills.
• Strong knowledge of insurance theory and practices.

Responsibilities

• Investigates the claim and coverage with involved parties.
• Evaluates, establishes, maintains, and adjusts reserves based on facts and company standards.
• Negotiates settlements effectively to reach timely resolutions.
• Coordinates with internal counsel, managed care and medical resources.
• Documents clearly in claims files and communicates findings.
