Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a SharePoint Migration Engineer to lead strategy and execution for large-scale Microsoft 365 migrations. You will analyze legacy platforms, plan waves, and execute tenant-to-tenant and on-prem to cloud migrations for SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive, ensuring content integrity and minimal disruption.

The role requires PowerShell scripting and collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

Experience migrating Microsoft 365 tenants, including tenant-to-tenant migrations.
Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, OneDrive and Teams.
Familiarity with migration tools, scripts, and automation for Microsoft 365 transformations.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing collaboration platforms, repositories, and content to assess migration readiness.
Plan and execute migrations of documents, sites, workflows, permissions, and related content into Microsoft 365.
Design migration approaches aligning with business, technical, security, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration waves, timelines, and dependencies.
Identify content risks, gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.
Configure and support SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and related Microsoft 365 capabilities.
Validate migrated content for completeness, metadata integrity, and access controls.
Troubleshoot migration issues and implement remediation steps.
Develop migration documentation, runbooks, standards, and user materials.
Support testing, cutover planning, and post-migration stabilization.
Contribute to governance and information management practices.
