Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Clayton, MO is seeking a senior professional to lead EHV transmission line projects (500kV+). The role requires guiding engineering teams, coordinating with clients, and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery in a hybrid work setup. Strong PM experience and knowledge of high-voltage standards are essential.

We value expertise in 765kV line design, cross-functional collaboration, and effective communication with stakeholders. Domestic travel for site meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree.
• 10+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects.
• 5+ years in 500kV and/or 765kV transmission line design
• Expertise in electrical considerations for 765kV transmission lines
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledge of engineering standards: NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE and ANSI
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a support or lead role
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative work style
• Willingness to travel to project sites or client meetings

Responsibilities

• Function as SME and technical resource for EHV designs (500kV+).
• Execute engineering projects and develop design deliverables.
• Supervise and direct project teams; mentor members.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with functional leads.
• Lead efforts to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet specs and client requirements.
• Perform independent design reviews including calculations and drawings.
• Prepare concise project reports and data.
• Analyze issues and provide corrective solutions.
