Job summary

Genetic Visions / STgenetics in the United States; Wisconsin region seeks a Laboratory Technician & Data Analyst to blend bench work with data analytics. You will perform DNA genotyping, operate automation, analyze large datasets, and support genotype submissions while developing tools to improve efficiency.

Typical duties include sample tracking, reporting, and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

Experience in a laboratory setting with DNA/genotyping workflows.
Proficiency with Excel and data handling for reporting.
Programming knowledge (Python preferred) for data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Effective communication and teamwork in a regulated lab.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new tech.

Responsibilities

Maintain detailed lab records including sample tracking and data results.
Perform DNA extraction, quantification, and normalization using standard protocols.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment following SOPs.
Analyze large datasets and generate reports for internal stakeholders.
Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations as required.
Assist with genotyping assays and data validation activities.
Ensure data quality and integrity in LIMS and reporting platforms.
Coordinate with customers and internal teams on test results.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize lab efficiency.
Handle hazardous materials following safety policies and procedures.
