Ogletree Deakins in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Paralegal for our Labor & Employment practice. The role involves researching statutes, preparing briefs and pleadings, and supporting attorneys with mediation and trial preparation.

The position is hybrid, reflecting a mix of in-office and remote work. The candidate should have a paralegal certification or degree and 6+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in labor/employment litigation, with strong MS Office and major legal research

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited college or university.
• 6+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in labor/employment litigation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; LexisNexis and Westlaw; Live Note; Concordance; Case Map; Docketing; Document Management System; and expense/billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist attorneys.
• Summarizes complex legal documents.
• Organizes and indexes case files.
• Determines and calendars deadlines.
• Performs wide range of legal research and data compilation with minimal supervision.
