HarbourVest Partners in Boston is seeking a Junior Quantitative Investment Engineer to join the Quantitative Investment Science (QIS) team. You’ll help translate business requirements into technical designs for a cloud-based data analytics platform that supports data-driven private markets research.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in investment data or FinTech, strong SQL/Python, and experience with BI tools; a BA/BS is preferred. This is a hybrid role with 18 remote days per quarter.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment data or FinTech.
• Strong SQL and Python for data processing and prototyping.
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Responsabilités

• Capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build solid relationships with investment teams, developers and vendors.
• Create and update project artifacts (use cases, docs, release notes).
• Onboard new data sets and manage data transformations.
• Develop quick prototypes and validate data with SQL/Python.
• Collaborate with data sources and external partners to fix data issues.
• Contribute to end-to-end solutions on a cloud-based analytics platform.
