Maximus in Northern Virginia seeks a Network Operations Support specialist to monitor LAN/WAN environments, generate performance reports, and assist in incident response. Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT operations or network operations in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to create and maintain reports on network performance, utilization, and availability.
• Experience using reporting and analysis tools (Excel, dashboards).
• Basic understanding of routing, switching, and network performance metrics.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational records accurately.
• Experience supporting ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Follow SOPs and assist with routine operational tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze trend data for capacity insights.
• Degree in IT/CS or related field; 1+ year in a technical role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network operations and assist with routine tasks across LAN/WAN/wireless.
• Generate bandwidth/utilization reports and track KPIs for SLA compliance.
• Provide visibility into performance trends and capacity planning insights.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Support outage communications and incident response activities.
• Update records in ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to ensure service continuity.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and processes.
