Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• 0–2 years of experience in civil engineering, utility design, gas distribution, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design assignments and project priorities.
• Ability to work with engineering, field, construction, and permitting teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop gas distribution designs for DoT projects, pressure improvements, renewals, relocations and new business.
• Develop and size meter and regulator set designs, including overpressure protection.
• Collect and evaluate records for gas system uprating procedures.
• Develop design options and recommendations to improve distribution system performance.
• Prepare work order designs, including drafting and applying company specifications.
• Investigate land rights and support easement/right-of-way requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with federal codes, standards, and company requirements.
• Provide engineering support to field operations and construction teams.
• Track permitting, approvals, construction, and other milestones.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Travel to project and construction sites as needed.
