New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking an Engineer I to provide engineering expertise to identify, plan, design, coordinate, and manage multiple construction projects involving natural gas distribution, transmission, and regulator station facilities. Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and subcontractors from concept through completion.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college is required, preferably civil or mechanical.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience; internship, co-op, or related experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS preferred.

Mansioni

• Prepare work orders for operating pressure requirements for new and existing main installations.
• Prepare construction drawings depicting proposed and completed changes.
• Inspect potential job sites to translate field conditions into system design.
• Represent the Company at pre-construction meetings and maintain accurate minutes.
• Design distribution systems to serve new customers and accounts.
• Review roadway construction plans to minimize financial exposure.
• Oversee transmission and distribution systems; provide technical advice to other departments.
• Evaluate large volume customers and recommend reinforcements to ensure capacity and pressure.
