Job summary

General Motors is seeking a skilled Software Developer to design and implement microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs using Spring Boot. You will ensure security, scalability, and alignment with business goals while delivering reliable software in a hybrid work environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's in CS or related field and five years of Java development experience, plus deep Azure experience (AKS, API Management, Functions) and strong TDD practices with JUnit/Mockito.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Deploy and manage microservices on Azure (AKS, API Management, Functions, Cosmos DB, SQL DB).
• Implement security, scalability, and cost optimization with monitoring using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Azure tools.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) with JUnit/Mockito for high-quality tests
