Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced software professional to build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot, along with Angular UI components. The role involves designing secure RESTful APIs, database schemas, and implementing efficient state management and caching in Angular applications.

You will write comprehensive unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) and participate in peer reviews, while documenting architectures and workflows. Hybrid role based in Reading, PA with agile delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of solid experience in RESTful web services, Spring MVC, Angular and core Java.
• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Restful Webservices, Hibernate, Spring JPA.
• Experience with RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle; SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot and UI components with Angular.
• Implement client-side state management and data caching in Angular apps.
• Design relational DB schemas and secure RESTful APIs connecting front-end and back-end.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-related scripts.
• Manage containerized build pipelines and deploy apps with Docker and OpenShift.
• Perform peer code reviews and write unit tests for TypeScript (Karma/Jasmine) and Java (JUnit, Mockito).
• Create comprehensive documentation for systems including architecture and workflows.
• Contribute in Agile project teams to deliver high-quality software.
