CGI is seeking a Mid Level Java/J2EE Developer with 3–5 years of experience to build enterprise-grade applications in Fairfax, VA. This role engages across full stack, from design to deployment, within a collaborative Agile environment.

The position supports hybrid work, requires Spring, Angular, and web services expertise, and offers a competitive compensation package, with a broad range reflecting market conditions in the United States.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience with the Java/JEE technology stack, including exposure to database, server side development, front end development, and CI/CD integration.
• Solid Java development skills, including hands on experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience building modern, responsive front end applications using Angular (or a similar modern JavaScript framework).
• Experience with web Model View Controller (MVC) frameworks, preferably Spring MVC (Struts experience is a plus).
• Front end development experience using JSP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and the ability to integrate these with Angular based front ends where needed.
• Working experience with relational databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL strongly preferred; MS SQL Server experience a plus), including writing SQL queries and basic performance tuning.
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST), XML, and JSON.
• Familiarity with Java build systems and dependency management tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle; ANT experience a plus).
• Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (e.g., Git, SVN, ClearCase).
• Experience working with application servers (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic) and/or modern deployment environments.
• Exposure to AI assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, IntelliJ AI, or similar) as part of the development workflow is a plus.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross functional Agile teams.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in full stack development across the back end, client side, and UI.
• Design and develop solutions following established frameworks, application development standards, and quality processes.
• Analyze the impact of changes in functional requirements on technical design.
• Contribute to all phases of the application development lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, support).
• Write well structured, efficient, and maintainable code compliant with existing frameworks and standards.
• Troubleshoot development and production issues and assist in resolving them in line with established procedures and guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by exploring and recommending alternatives, tools, and technologies.
