Job summary

Citi London is seeking a highly motivated Full-stack Java Developer to join the Systematic & Credit Portfolio Trading Tools team. You will collaborate with traders, quants and product developers to build and iterate trading tooling, including portfolio optimization, P&L analysis and decision support, with no prior portfolio trading experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience building Java applications and tools.
• Experience with React-based front-end development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling.
• Strong communication skills, written and spoken.
• Prior exposure to Credit or capital markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define trade tooling requirements directly with traders.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and product teams to build tools (portfolio optimization, P&L analysis, trading recommendations).
• Maintain an ecosystem for rapid application tooling enabling trader contributions.
• Leverage Java and React to deliver high‑quality software.
• Collaborate with production support to ensure stability of trading functions.
