Job summary

University Information Technology (UIT), the central IT service provider for the University of Utah, seeks an IT Software Developer II to contribute to large-scale system development and support.

You will work with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine and SQL in a hybrid schedule (campus-based with some remote options) and collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4 years of related work experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with ERP software development environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and software development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Codes applications according to specifications and instructions.
• Assists other programmers and analysts on programming and analysis tasks.
• Tests applications and follows version control and deployment guidelines.
• Investigates bugs and proposes fixes and improvements.
• Writes and tunes code for efficiency and reliability.
