Job summary

Benesch in Columbus is seeking an IT Sr. Systems Engineer to design, build, configure and maintain secure IT infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud administration.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to travel and occasional evenings/weekends.
• Experience with datacenter virtualization and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V/SCVMM, SAN configuration, and Windows server ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Oversee datacenter virtualization and private cloud infrastructure.
• Design, configure, and maintain on‑premise and cloud IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate to deploy hybrid cloud solutions for hosting servers, services, and apps.
• Support security hardening and compliance requirements.
• Plan for disaster recovery, scalability, and ongoing optimization.
• Provide Tier III support and coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
