Job summary

NASPO—the National Association of State Procurement Officials—seeks an IT Security Administrator in Lexington, KY for a hybrid role. The position supports day-to-day security operations, config management, and incident response within the IT Operations team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT security, experience with Microsoft 365 security, Defender, and IAM concepts. Travel to events may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT administration or cybersecurity role.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 security concepts.
• Experience with Windows endpoints in enterprise environments.
• Understanding IAM concepts including MFA & RBAC.
• Familiarity with EDR and endpoint protection technologies.
• Strong log review, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and secure security platforms (M365 security, Defender, Bitdefender).
• Maintain endpoint, identity, and cloud security controls and review access.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate events, document findings.
• Support incident response activities and recovery testing.
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with owners.
• Maintain up-to-date security configuration documentation.
