Job summary

Focus Financial Partners is seeking an IT Project Manager to support the wealth management division by analyzing processes and driving improvements. This role bridges business and technology teams, with hybrid work and options to base in St. Louis or Boston.

You will lead enterprise IT programs, manage scope, schedules, budgets, and vendor relationships, and report to executives. Strong leadership, communication, and PM software skills (e.g., Asana) are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a project manager, ideally in a similar industry.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Asana).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
• Proven track record of engagement in large, enterprise-wide technology programs (ERP implementations, cloud migrations, digital transformation).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from the PMO portfolio using governance frameworks and best practices.
• Define scope, goals, and deliverables aligned to business objectives.
• Develop detailed plans, schedules, and budgets for programs.
• Coordinate internal resources and vendors for smooth execution.
• Identify risks, issues, and changes across the project lifecycle.
• Provide reporting to stakeholders and executive management.
• Lead and motivate project teams with clear communication.
• Ensure quality standards and best practices in deliverables.
• Conduct retrospectives and produce detailed management reports.
• Manage relationships with internal clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings and guide teams for optimal performance.
• Drive execution on complex IT programs with budget adherence.
• Partner with leaders to define objectives, success criteria, and resource plans.
• Implement portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting.
• Manage risk, change control, and key stakeholder reporting.
• Develop talent within a high-performing project management team.
