Job summary

WEC Energy Group seeks an IT Database Administrator in Wisconsin with hybrid remote/on-site work and time in the office. The DBA will design, implement, and maintain multiple database servers for production, test, and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, background check incl. CIS or NERC standards.
• Experience as an Applications DBA or equivalent in a multi-database environment.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational DBMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize performance for production databases.
• Tune queries, design schemas, plan capacity and manage changes.
• Build and maintain backup/reindex jobs and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with dev teams on database design and code reviews.
• Install and configure SQL Server, Oracle, or HANA per SOPs.
• Baseline performance, monitor deviations and improve slow queries.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
• Carry a phone for emergency responses.
