Job summary

Day Pitney LLP seeks an associate with 2–3 years of commercial and intellectual property litigation experience to join our Hartford, CT office, with consideration for our New Haven, CT office. The firm emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented environment and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Ideal candidates will handle trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes, with exposure to TTAB proceedings and IP licensing matters.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of demonstrated commercial litigation and/or intellectual property litigation experience.
• Experience with trademark, copyright, and/or trade secret disputes preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, business-minded approach.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and client service skills.
• Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, and able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Connecticut Bar admission in good standing is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; take and defend depositions; attend court conferences and hearings.
• Conduct legal research; prepare and respond to discovery; manage day-to-day case management; participate in trial preparation.
• Represent clients in commercial and intellectual property disputes, including TTAB proceedings and IP licensing matters.
