Job summary

Cetera Financial Group Inc is seeking an Investment Research Analyst to support portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment strategy development through a mix of traditional research, quantitative analysis, and data insights.

You will partner with portfolio managers to deliver actionable recommendations, automate data collection, and develop reports and visualizations for internal stakeholders, while staying current on market trends and advances in investment research and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, investment research, or quantitative analysis.
• Knowledge of portfolio theory, asset allocation, and capital markets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear written and verbal communication.
• Experience in an RIA, asset management, wealth management, or financial analytics environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on macroeconomic trends, asset classes, investment products, and market developments.
• Analyze investment opportunities and provide insights for portfolio construction and asset allocation.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate strategies, risk factors, and return characteristics.
• Partner with portfolio managers and investment teams to develop research-driven recommendations.
• Automate data collection, validation, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings internally.
• Monitor financial markets, indicators, and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Stay current on advancements in investment research, financial technology, and data analytics tools.
