Job summary

Zurich Group Investment Management, Inc. (ZGIM), a part of Zurich North America, seeks an Investment Operations Associate for its Investment Administration and Accounting team in Parsippany, NJ. The role focuses on private debt instruments, alternative investments, and rigorous month-end processes.

You will analyze and resolve operational issues, support automation, and coordinate with custodians and third-party administrators. A finance/accounting background and SAP Treasury exposure are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years in investment operations with knowledge of private debt or alternative investments.
• Experience with financial instruments and investment operations concepts.

Responsibilities

• Processing, posting, and clearing of transactions related to private debt instruments and alternative investment products.
• Processing income payments, capital calls, distributions, and lifecycle events for private market assets.
• Ensuring accurate month-end closing activities for private debt and illiquid investments.
• Performing monthly reconciliations of private asset holdings and related cash accounts.
• Generating insights by addressing technical queries from clients and delivering solutions.
• Supporting internal initiatives, system enhancements, and client requirements.
• Collaborating with investment teams, custodians, and third-party admins to resolve issues.
• Using digital tools to organize work and support automation initiatives.
• Validating and improving controls and quality checks in closing processes.
