Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Insurance/Industrial Commission seeks an Investigative Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative support to investigators and the division chief. You will document complaints, synthesize information from multiple sources, and assist in preparing case files and exhibits for criminal investigations.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least one year of related experience, and familiarity with Workers’ Compensation and Employee Classification

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with one year of related experience.
Ability to research and analyze information from multiple sources.
Familiarity with statutes governing workers’ compensation and employee classification.
Background in criminal justice or investigative procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to Investigators and Division Chief.
Document complaints received by mail, phone, or email and organize case files.
Prepare case files and trial exhibits for investigations.
