Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional experience in a research-intensive field such as due diligence, investigations, KYC/AML, compliance, corporate intelligence, journalism, or open-source intelligence.
• Strong investigative and analytical skills, including following leads, evaluating sources, reconciling information.
• Clear, concise, accurate, thoroughly sourced written assessments.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail with sensitive information.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to explain findings.
• Comfort learning new databases, research tools, and AI-enabled technology.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status and ability to complete federal background screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth due diligence and open-source investigations on companies, individuals, and third parties across global markets.
• Analyze ownership, control structures, affiliations, government connections, and foreign influence risks.
• Identify sanctions, corruption, money laundering, political exposure, and other reputational risks.
• Use Exiger’s AI-enabled technology and external sources to follow leads and uncover relevant findings.
• Translate findings into clear, thoroughly sourced assessments for government decisions.
• Manage multiple investigations with tight turnaround times and reporting standards.
• Participate in peer review and quality-control processes for accuracy and defensibility.
• Communicate with customer stakeholders to clarify requirements and discuss findings.
