Qualifications

• Two (2) years of related Public Health, Accounting, Financial or programming experience performing at least two areas listed, with potential training in remaining areas.
• Experience in conducting financial, compliance, or operational audits or investigations in a government or regulated environment.
• Experience conducting investigations requiring evidence gathering, interviewing, fact-finding, documenting results.
• Knowledge of professional auditing or internal control frameworks (IIA, GAO Green Book, COSO).

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and perform highly complex audits or investigations focusing on third-party transactions.
• Serve as liaison between MDH and the State Office of Inspector General (OIG).
• Draft, review and revise internal audit policies and procedures.
• Assist Office of Internal Audit and agency management.
