Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a 6-month Internal Audit Co-Op in Boston. The program offers hands-on audits in IT and business areas, plus learning-based tasks to develop your career in accounting, finance or MIS.

You will support planning, testing, and reporting, while gaining exposure to senior leaders. The role is full-time, paid, and hybrid, with benefits and a focus on mentorship and growth.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Economics, or related field.
• Self-motivated with strong organization and attention to detail.
• Analytical, strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid Boston environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States; Vertex does not sponsor internships.

Responsibilities

• Assist Internal Auditors with planning and execution of audits, as well as internal applications and data analytics projects.
• Document audit work papers, track and monitor audit issues.
• Assist with test plans and automation of internal audit workpapers.
• Take walkthrough minutes, create weekly agendas, and assist on operational audit testing.
• Collaborate with business and IT partners while building client relationships.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
