Job summary

NBBJ Seattle is seeking an Intermediate Designer to work on interiors and architectural design projects, ranging from small TI work to full corporate campuses with client contact and leadership responsibilities.

Role involves design development, documentation, and collaboration across disciplines. Requires 5–10 years in interiors/architecture, Revit proficiency, and licensure pursuit; LEED or near-term accreditation preferred. Office in Seattle with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in architecture/interior design or related field.
  • Proven experience in interiors/architectural design, with client contact.
  • Proficiency in BIM and 3D modeling tools.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute corporate/interiors projects under high-level guidance from design leadership.
  • Collaborate with clients to define objectives and options.
  • Develop design concepts with project team, managing documentation and schedules.
  • Prepare contract and permitting documents with quality and code compliance.
  • Lead project engineers to coordinate requirements and maintain records.
  • Coordinate with architects, interiors, lighting, and other disciplines.
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in marketing efforts.
