You will manage heavy caseloads, engage in motions and mediation, and contribute to firm marketing and client development efforts in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Proven experience in depositions, motions, and mediation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Represent insurance companies in defense against claims and suits.
• Conduct thorough legal research to prepare for case proceedings.
• Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
• Develop and implement a strategic defense plan for each case.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
• Provide legal advice regarding potential exposure and risks.
• Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends in insurance defense.
• Manage a heavy caseload while maintaining high-quality work.
• Participate in firm marketing and client development activities.
