Job summary

gpac, on behalf of a well-regarded Houston law firm, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its litigation team in a hybrid environment.

You will manage a caseload from intake through resolution, draft pleadings and discovery, take and defend depositions, attend hearings and mediations, and report status to clients and insurance carriers; collaborate with partners on trial preparation.

Qualifications

• 3-10 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience.
• Admission to the Texas Bar.
• Strong writing, research, and case management skills.
• Ability to handle matters independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
• Take and defend depositions and attend hearings and mediations.
• Report to clients and insurance carriers on case status and strategy.
• Work closely with partners on trial preparation.
