Job summary

Progressive is seeking an insurance defense attorney within our bodily injury unit, part of the motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team. You will provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or to Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation.

Handling cases from beginning to end, you’ll also prepare pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements.

Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) is required.
• Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Represent Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation.
• Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements.
• Analyze written discovery, depositions and medical records to assess claim values and risk exposure.
• Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely litigation reports.
