Job summary

Progressive is seeking an insurance defense attorney to join the Bodily Injury litigation team in California. You will represent Progressive insureds and/or Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels, handling cases from start to finish.

You will prepare pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with clients and claims partners to report on litigation progress. Hybrid position with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) required.
• Admitted to practice law in California.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal representation to Progressive insureds before courts/arbitration panels.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs; negotiate settlements.
• Analyze discovery, depositions, medical records, and assess claim value.
