Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking an insurance defense attorney for our Bodily Injury unit. You’ll provide litigation representation to Progressive insureds and to Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels, and handle cases from start to finish, including pleadings, motions and trial briefs, with negotiate settlements where appropriate.

This hybrid role requires a Juris Doctor or LL.M. and admission to the New York Bar.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent is required.
• Admission to the New York bar is required.

Responsibilities

• Represent Progressive insureds in courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate with claims partners.
• Analyze discovery materials, depositions, medical records, and assess claim value.
