Job summary

Pernini Legal LLC is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate/Senior Counsel to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. The role covers complex coverage disputes for domestic and international insurers, with hybrid work in California and strong emphasis on policy analysis and strategic advice.

Ideal candidates have a JD from an ABA-accredited school, active CA bar, 3+ years in litigation, and proven drafting and research skills.

Qualifications

JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academics.
Active California Bar admission in good standing; other bar admissions considered for seasoned candidates.
3+ years of substantive litigation experience focusing on insurance coverage.
Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and providing coverage opinions.
Strong drafting of litigation documents; effective deposition and mediation participation.

Responsibilities

Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
Provide clear, actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis and other tools.
Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations and trials.
Draft interrogatories and document requests; manage document review for litigation.
Engage with domestic and international insurers; collaborate with partners and team.
