Georgetown University seeks an Instructional Design & Technology Specialist to support online, on-campus, remote, and hybrid courses. The role focuses on enhancing course design quality and development and working closely with SMEs and staff across the university.

Responsibilities include creating goals, selecting instructional strategies, and developing engaging online learning experiences using Canvas templates and scheduling project milestones.

Formación

• Master’s in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
• 5–7 years’ experience at a higher education institution as an instructional developer.
• 3+ years evaluating course development quality using established rubrics (Quality Matters, OLC Scorecard).
• Strong understanding of instructional design, online pedagogy, and learning theories.
• Proven ability to design engaging online courses and develop storyboards.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate development of course goals/objectives and align activities/assessments to them.
• Recommend instructional strategies and online tools to support student learning.
• Source open educational resources and assist SMEs with materials.
• Develop Canvas templates with graphics/banners and upload content.
• Maintain milestones, timelines, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
