Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Inpatient Clinical Systems Manager to lead hospital-wide clinical information systems projects. This hybrid role requires coordination with physicians, nurses, and IT teams to align systems with organizational goals.

The role demands experience managing complex clinical IT projects and implementing clinical information systems in a healthcare setting, with strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and cost-effective deployment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus 2 years clinical experience and 3 years IT managerial/administrative experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years clinical experience and 4 years IT managerial/administrative experience.
• Epic Certification in clinical application is required.
• Demonstrated project management skills are required.
• Evidence of design, implementation and maintenance of complex clinical systems.
• Advanced technical consultation and support is expected.
• Design specifications of complex clinical systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrates, coordinates and plans resources to achieve strategic goals via management of clinical and administrative systems.
• Organizes, manages and develops project team resources to meet commitments and objectives.
• Forms interdisciplinary project teams to select and implement major clinical information systems.
• Manages the design, acquisition, implementation and evaluation of clinical information systems.
• Integrates evidence-based medicine and clinical guidelines into informatics solutions.
• Develops and implements educational strategies to promote understanding of the system life cycle.
• Implements policy/procedure revisions as system design evolves.
• Complies with regulatory requirements (CMS, Joint Commissions, NJ DoH) in the clinical system.
• Projects resources required for system implementation and support.
• Oversees daily operations of applications analyst resources.
