Job summary

PromptCare is seeking a motivated Reimbursement Specialist to manage patient billing, insurance data collection, verification, and authorization in a fast-paced Homecare Infusion setting. Hybrid work from New Providence, NJ with two days in-office and three days remote.

The role requires 2–3 years in electronic claims submission and medical collections, good knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, and familiarity with CPR+/Caretend. Notable benefits and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in electronic claims submission and medical collections.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience in billing/collections for DME, home infusion or enteral preferred.
• Accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPR+ or Caretend software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collections of third-party payor accounts for assigned payers.
• Follow-up on revenue cycle related to reimbursement, including denials management.
• Maintain and update documentation to assist Intake Team with insurance policies.
• Identify adjustments, payment trends and denials; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality in all patient care activities.
• Communicate changes regularly or as needed.
• Collaborate with Intake & Reauthorization Specialist for timely collections.
• Assist PBM and Billing Specialist with issues and end-of-month processes.
• Field calls from patients regarding benefits, claims and balances.
• Proactively resolve billing issues as they arise.
