Job summary

Penn State University’s Applied Research Laboratory in San Diego seeks an Infrastructure Systems Administrator to join the JMIE Division. The role covers deployment, configuration, and upkeep of critical DoD/IC IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments.

You will implement security controls, monitor for intrusions, manage backups, and document systems while supporting cross-domain environments. A TS/SCI readiness path may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 6+ years relevant experience (or equivalent).
• Experience with server and desktop security implementation and management.
• Experience with DNS/DHCP, LDAP, Kubernetes, RHEL, Windows Server/11, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software, and infrastructure.
• Manage OSs (Windows/Linux), networks, and security controls.
• Perform security monitoring, incident assessment, and log analysis.
