Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our CloudOps/DevOps team, providing hands-on operational support in a dynamic environment. The role focuses on physical infrastructure, virtualization, and automation in lab and infrastructure operations.

This hybrid position requires coordinating with cross-functional teams, implementing Ansible workflows, and maintaining secure, reliable lab networks. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with physical infrastructure setup and management.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms and hypervisors.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and storage monitoring tools.
• Proficiency with Ansible automation and scripting.
• Foundational knowledge of network security practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure lab equipment (rack/stack, cabling, power, connectivity).
• Manage lab storage provisioning, monitoring, and operational support.
• Oversee hypervisor management and day-to-day operations.
• Monitor compute, storage, and edge network infrastructure for performance.
• Execute Ansible-based automation workflows for remediation and recovery.
• Support and enforce lab network security controls and protocols.
• Follow runbooks, procedures, and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.
