Arctiq is seeking an Information Security Analyst II for a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement in Atlanta, GA. This mid-level cybersecurity role involves monitoring and improving a client’s information security program, handling security events, conducting advanced data analysis, and collaborating across teams to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT, cybersecurity, CS or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant cybersecurity operations, SOC, incident response, or similar experience.
• Strong incident-response, investigation, and evidence-handling skills.
• Knowledge of SIEM/SOC operations, EDR, email security, identity security, cloud security, and data-security monitoring.
• Ability to create clear, repeatable SOPs, investigation notes, executive summaries, and audit-ready evidence.
• Ability to communicate technical risk clearly to technical teams, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events across enterprise technologies and security platforms.
• Perform advanced analysis and correlation of security data to identify risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams, MSPs, and vendors to improve detection, escalation, response, and security operations.
• Identify opportunities to automate and scale security processes and controls.
• Lead or support response to moderate-to-complex security incidents and investigations, including containment, remediation, and evidence preservation.
• Document investigation timelines, findings, and lessons learned for leadership and audits.
• Escalate high-severity incidents and maintain communications through closure.
• Support vulnerability management by validating risk and coordinating remediation.
• Assist security assessments, penetration testing, and control validation.
• Investigate identity, access, data, SaaS, and cloud security anomalies; support identity governance and least-privilege principles.
• Collect and retain security evidence for regulatory, contractual, audit, and internal assurance activities.
• Maintain repeatable procedures, playbooks, and evidence packages.
