Job summary

Spectrum Brands, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Designer for its Home & Personal Care division, based in a hybrid role in Madison, WI.

You will help shape the next generation of small kitchen, garment, and personal care appliances for iconic brands and market-leading products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, user-centered designs, create 3D models, evaluate materials, and support prototyping and testing across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design (BA or BS).
• Portfolio demonstrating the ability to transform user insights into great product solutions.
• Role not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of innovative, user-centric small appliances.
• Create concept sketches, mood boards, and renderings to communicate ideas.
• Develop 3D models and CAD drawings using SolidWorks or Fusion360 for prototypes and production.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to select materials and manufacturing processes.
• Participate in prototyping to test and refine designs based on feedback.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to improve product design.
• Stay updated on industry trends and market demands to drive design innovation.
• Collaborate with marketers, project managers, and engineers across time zones.
