Job summary

Spectrum Brands, Inc. seeks an Industrial Designer to help shape the next generation of small kitchen, garment, and personal care appliances for iconic brands such as Black+Decker, Remington, Russell Hobbs and George Foreman.

You will join a cross-functional product development team, contributing to innovative, user-centered designs across global brands. You will contribute from concept sketches through 3D CAD, prototyping, and production, balancing aesthetics, usability and manufacturability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design (BA or BS).
Portfolio demonstrating the ability to transform user insights into great product solutions.

Responsibilities

Support design and development of innovative small appliances with emphasis on user experience, functionality and manufacturability.
Create and present concept sketches, mood boards, and renderings to communicate design ideas.
Use SolidWorks or Fusion360 to create 3D models and CAD drawings for prototypes and production.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to select materials and processes for cost-effective production.
Develop prototypes to test and refine designs based on feedback.
Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitive products to drive innovation.
Work with marketers, project managers and engineers across time zones to ensure successful product development and launches.
