Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active NY Bar in good standing.
• 4+ years of legal experience at a law firm or in-house.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience with IP, data privacy, AI, and technology matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and licensing agreements with customers across North and South America.
• Advise on commercial contracts, IP, data privacy, AI, technology, licensing, and regulatory matters.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to senior commercial leadership, providing practical legal guidance.
• Support AI, emerging technologies, data usage, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
• Advise on IP rights acquisition, licensing, protection and exploitation.
• Coordinate outside counsel relationships and litigation support as needed.
• Develop and improve legal templates, processes, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Provide training to commercial and sales teams on contract negotiation and risk management.
• Collaborate with colleagues across legal, commercial, technology, and corporate functions.
