Job summary

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) seeks a Training Manager, Immigration Legal Services to own the strategy, design, and management of NYIC Training Institute training programs for immigration legal service providers, including attorneys and accredited representatives.

Under the Director of Training and Technical Assistance, you will oversee curriculum quality, trainer coordination, and participant experience, ensuring compliance with CLE requirements and program data reporting.

Qualifications

• Recent and substantive experience working in immigration legal services.
• Experience as accredited representative, paralegal, legal assistant, attorney, or other immigration legal services practitioner.
• Knowledge of DOJ Recognition and Accreditation program and related processes.
• Strong facilitation, written and verbal communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, funded partners, trainers, and legal service providers.
• Commitment to NYIC's mission and organizational values.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Program Management: deliver NYIC Training Institute’s 40-Hour Comprehensive Overview of Immigration Law; update curricula and recruit trainers.
• Design and implement new training programs for service providers working with immigrant communities.
• Lead curricula development with subject matter experts; ensure interactive, engaging materials.
• Conduct trainings and recruit trainers to cover other topics.
