Job summary

LinkedIn seeks a senior leader to Build and lead the Identity Engineering & Enterprise Security team on our Mountain View campus in a hybrid role. The role shapes security strategy, mentors engineers, and drives modernization across identity infrastructure and security controls.

You will partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver scalable, secure systems and measurable risk reduction while balancing reliability and innovation.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field.
• 1+ year of management or staff engineering experience with leadership training.
• 7+ years in software development, enterprise security, and identity management.
• Experience defining strategic roadmaps and driving complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience conducting code and architecture reviews and guiding tradeoffs across correctness, performance, scale, and operability.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, IAM, authentication, authorization, workload identity, and policy enforcement.
• Experience owning security-critical production systems with reliability, least privilege, auditability, and operational rigor.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Identity Engineering & Enterprise Security team, setting direction while empowering delivery.
• Operate identity infrastructure as a mission-critical platform with clear reliability goals and strong observability.
• Manage, coach, and develop security professionals, software engineers, and operations staff.
• Lead identity stack modernization from on-prem Active Directory to Cloud with high resilience.
• Measure success by safer, faster, and more auditable access with reduced friction for legitimate work.
• Build proactive security controls across corporate systems, cloud environments, and endpoints.
• Drive cross-functional security initiatives across Engineering, IT, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and business teams.
• Establish and report on metrics for program health, control effectiveness, and risk reduction outcomes.
• Evaluate and improve tooling, processes, and controls to reduce systemic risk and improve efficiency.
